Manal Assi, MD

Manal Assi is a child and adult psychiatrist who is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.  She trained at the University of Michigan where she completed her residency in Adult Psychiatry and her fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.  Dr. Assi has been affiliated with the Ann Arbor Center for the Family since 2000.  She also is an adjunct faculty at the University of Michigan Department of Psychiatry.

Dr. Assi works with children, adolescents, adults, and families with a variety of psychiatric problems.  She uses an integrated approach to evaluation and treatment with attention to biological, psychological, and social factors.  She practices pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy and uses evidence based medicine to guide treatment while still taking into account individual differences. She believes that collaboration with other professionals and coordination of care is essential for treatment.
