Moira Hubbard, Psy.D.
Moira Hubbard is a licensed clinical psychologist who earned her doctorate from Virginia Consortium for Professional Psychology. She had been affiliated with Ann Arbor Center for the Family for 15 years prior to taking a hiatus to travel and spend time with family. She reopened her practice at the Center in 2010. She also worked for 5 years at Chelsea Community Hospital as a liaison to the school system and providing outpatient mental health and substance abuse treatment.
Her clinical practice includes work with adolescents, adults and families. She has a particular interest in women’s development through the life span and works extensively with young adults struggling with anxiety, depression, body image and relationships. Her approach is contextual and collaborative and she incorporates family systems, narrative, cognitive-behavioral and problem-solving strategies. In addition, she is comfortable integrating a person’s spiritual framework into the healing process and utilizes mindfulness/meditative techniques when helpful.
She is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Michigan Psychological Association, and participates with BCBS of Michigan, Community Blue PPO, MESSA, and Medicare.
