Adult Group Therapy
Understand the interpersonal dynamics that hinder your ability to live life more fully
"The aim of group therapy is to learn how to trust, to disclose, to develop intimacy without fear and guilt, to express one's self courageously, and to respond honestly and freely to others. Together with the strength to accept one's feelings of intimacy goes the strength to express one's hostility or aggression and to master it." Martin Grotjahn, The Art and Technique of Analytic Group Therapy
This is a process-oriented group in which the members pay attention to and explore one’s own thoughts and feelings about others, about one’s self, and the relationships within the group. It is through this largely ‘here and now’ approach that people learn to relate more honestly and openly without crippling fear or guilt.
Current groups (new members welcome, space permitting):
- Monday afternoons 4:15 - 5:45
- Tuesday mornings 8:00 to 9:30
- Tuesday afternoons 4:15 to 5:45
- Wednesday mornings 9:00 to 10:30
- Thursday afternoons 4:15 to 5:45

For Men Only
A group for men fifty years or better interested in exploring with other men issues related to aging
Men typically "do not want to talk about it." This tendency to not want "to talk about it" can lead to depression and loss of vitality. Yet, when men do break through the barrier of silence and share their concerns with others, they feel better and their quality of life improves.
Come join other men to explore what it means to grow older, how it affects one's sense of well-being and their relationships around them and how this stage of life can be met with integrity and creativity.
Second and fourth Monday of each month 4:30 to 6:00 pm. This is a time limited group of 10 sessions.
Dates:
- September 12, 26
- October 10, 24
- November 14, 28
- December 12
- January 9, 23
- February 13
$65.00 per group session (some insurances may make partial reimbursement).

Consultation and Study Group
This consultation and study group offers clinicians the opportunity to enhance their understanding of psychodynamic and Modern Analytic principles as well as study their own reactions to their clinical work. More specifically, we work to enhance the development of a healthy “professional ego” in each member.
Early career therapists as well as experienced practitioners are invited to join.

Clergy Consultation Group
Like therapists, members of the clergy are seen as healers and are at times called upon to contain powerful emotions, their own as well as others'. This consultation group helps to develop the members' ability to connect to and appropriately respond to the needs of their congregants while maintaining a healthy sense of one’s self. Through the discussion of difficult situations, group members will be able to better identify and accept "unwanted" aspects of the self, leading to better emotional integration and enhanced professional competency.
- Group meets bi-weekly, dates and times to be arranged
