Group Psychotherapy

"The aim of group therapy is to learn how to trust, to disclose, to develop intimacy without fear and guilt, to express one's self courageously, and to respond honestly and freely to others. Together with the strength to accept one's feelings of intimacy goes the strength to express one's hositlity or aggression and to master it."
Martin Grotjahn, The Art and Technique of Analytic Group Therapy

Understand the interpersonal dynamics that cause anxiety, depression and doubt that hinder your ability
to live more fully.

This is a process oriented group in which the members pay attention to and explore one’s own thoughts and feelings about others, about one’s self, and the relationships within the group. It is through this largely ‘here and now’ approach that people learn to relate more honestly and openly without crippling fear or guilt.

Four groups currently being offered:

Tuesday mornings 8:15 to 9:45
Tuesday afternoons 4:00 to 5:30
Wednesday mornings 9:00 to 10:30
Friday afternoons 3:00 to 4:30
(co-therapist led group)

New members welcome, space permitting

Weekly fee: $65.00
