Ann Arbor Center for the Family provides counseling, therapy, and mediation for individuals (adults, children, adolescents), couples, and families.

Child and Adolescent Services

The Ann Arbor Center for the Family has a long standing tradition of working with children and adolescents around a wide variety of problems. Our clinicians are experienced in helping young people and their families understand and resolve issues and concerns they may have. We believe in working collaboratively with families around recognizing their strengths and resources and facing their challenges. Because it is important to understand children within the context of their lives, we often work directly with schools and other organizations.

Services offered:

Family therapy
Individual treatment of children and adolescents
Parent counseling
School consultations
Psychological testing and evaluation
Group therapy (call for availability)

We offer treatment for depression; school problems and learning disabilities; family conflicts; substance use and abuse; anxiety; eating disorders; reactions to divorce, loss, traumatic experiences, adoption, or chronic medical disorders; as well as other emotional or developmental concerns in children and adolescents.
